Kubu is a range of smart sensors that monitor your security status in real-time. Kubu will report and notify you of the status of your doors and windows from the Kubu app on your phone.

What Does the Kubu App Do?

See at a glance if your doors & windows are locked from anywhere in the world, at any time, day or night, for all the doors & windows in your home and any other homes that matter to you! Never leave home while you’re not fully secure. Get notified if someone locks or unlocks your door or if someone is tampering with your doors or windows. View lock status history directly inside the app and even schedule reminders at bedtime or whenever you need.

SureSecure™ Geofence Smart Alert

Whether you’re rushing out of the house to work or taking the kids to school, Kubu will prevent you from getting too far away from your home with your doors and windows unlocked.


With the geofence smart alert reminding you that you’ve left your home unsecure, you’ll simply be able to turn back home and lock up.

Receive real-time notifications

With Kubu, you will always know the status of your doors and windows, whether it’s open, closed, locked or unlocked. No matter where you are, you can receive notifications right from the Kubu app on your phone, when connected to the internet or mobile data.


Kubu allows you to track activity and receive real-time notifications whenever someone enters and exits your home, so you’ll always know when someone is coming or going.

Set Schedules

The Kubu app allows you to set schedules for any time you want.


Simply pick a day and time when you’d like to be reminded of the status of your sensors and Kubu will send you a notification to let you know whether it’s secure.


If you’d like a reminder that your doors are locked at night, or if you want to check the kids have locked the door when they’ve come home from school; simply set up a schedule in the app and Kubu will send you a notification at that exact time and day.

Check back through your history

Kubu allows you to check back through your sensor’s history. The app gives you a 7 day log of all activity your sensors have recorded.


With your sensor history, you will be able to see the time and date stamp of each time a door or window was opened, closed, locked, unlocked or even put into vent mode.

Share your Kubu

The Kubu App allows you to share sensor statuses with your friends and family, so everyone can benefit from knowing if their home is secure.


Through the Kubu app, you can share your sensors with up to four people.


For example, if you want to remind an elderly grandparent to lock their doors at night, simply ask them to share their sensor with you. This will then allow you to see the status of their door.


This feature allows the whole family to have peace-of-mind

The Kubu Home Hub

The Kubu Home Hub also acts as a visual indicator, so you can check whether your doors and windows are locked or unlocked, simply by looking at the hub.


When the hub glows blue it indicates all of your doors and windows are secure. If the hub glows orange, at least one of your sensors are unsecure. You can then check the Kubu app and find out which door or window is unsecure.

Retain the traditional way of locking while still getting smart

Kubu allows you to keep to the traditional way of locking using a key, while benefitting from the features smart technology can bring.


Kubu isn’t an automatic lock, meaning the only way anyone can enter your home is by using a key.



With Kubu, you won’t have to worry if you’ve lost your phone or had it stolen - your home will still be secure.

Avantis Door Lock Guarantee

Your Avantis Door Lock has been designed and developed to Work with Kubu technology, home hub, door module and app.


Why is the Works with Kubu Door Lock so secure?


It delivers the UK’s largest hooks and centre dead bolt at 25mm, which makes for greater compression and security on a closed door.


The Avantis Door Lock easily passes PAS24 standards for security and is Secured By Design accredited.


The Avantis Door Lock automatically comes with a 10 year mechanical warranty.


However, if you want extra peace-of-mind, you can activate an additional 10 year and £1000 security guarantee. Meaning, if you get broken into due to a lock component failure, we will refund you up to £1000 on your home insurance excess.
