Replacement Windows

Is A Building Notice Needed for Replacement Windows?

Did you know the installation of replacement windows is now included as 'building work' and requires a Building Notice to be submitted, prior to work commencing?

The replacement windows are required to comply with the relevant requirements of the Building Regulations in respect to:

  • Thermal insulation;
  • Ventilation areas;
  • Provision of combustion air for heat producing appliances;
  • Safety glazing;
  • Means of escape in case of fire.

Because Homestyle Windows are registered with FENSA (controlled by the Glass and Glazing Federation), you not need to make an application. Also, if you are replacing the glass only, no application is required.

If you would like more information or would like a quotation for UPVC Replacement Windows visit our showroom or call 01473 614444. We are open 7 days a week, and have been installing replacement windows in and around Ipswich for over 20 years!
